Feb 10th,2011. Earlier this week, members of our two STARS squads were again joined by the Woodcote squad for a full day's workshop at the Harris Academy in Merton. Paul was able to witness first hand how the squads had benefited from the current program before adding his own twist on the day's proceedings.
Guin Batten and Michelle Robinson (Griffith) were again responsible for taking the athletes through a number of sessions involving both physical challenges as well as discussion forums aimed at assisting them to better understand the importance of TeamYOU, and those people that are responsible for influencing and supporting them in achieving their goals.
After a break for lunch, Paul discussed the importance of preparation and physical conditioning and how this specifically related to the life of a professional golfer. He then led the group through an exercise routine he would typically devise whilst travelling between tournaments.
The day concluded with more questions for Paul about his own experiences from his school days right through to his most recent win in Bahrain.
(Supporting Talented Athletes on the Road to Success is an innovation activity of The Junior Athlete Education Framework, supported by The Paul Casey Foundation.
